So Good, It's UNREAL!

I'm one of those rare people that doesn't have a sweet tooth. I've always preferred vanilla to chocolate. As a little girl, I even refused chocolate birthday cake! But as an adult, I've come to enjoy small doses of chocolate every once in a while. So when I'm looking for a chocolate fix, I'm looking for the good stuff. I normally shop my local health food store for my "unjunked" candy fix, but then I spotted UNREAL candy at my local Walgreens, CVS and Rite-Aid. What was this stuff? I was intrigued! I NEEDED to try this candy and quick, so thanks to Bzzagent, I was able to score some delicious freebies just in time for Halloween season.

Here's what I picked up with my UNREAL candy coupons:

I love the packaging of UNREAL candy. It really stands out and grabs your attention. I was immediately drawn to the display. It's fun, colorful and screams delicious in my mind!

I decided to test out the UNREAL #41 Candy Coated Chocolates first, since I love eating M&Ms, because they're just enough chocolate to satisfy a craving. I have to say I love UNREAL better than the other guys. Whenever I eat drugstore chocolate, I always complain about how waxy it tastes. It doesn't really taste like chocolate at all. It tastes chocolate-y and artificial, but since UNREAL is candy minus the bad stuff, it tastes like chocolate. I love the candy coated crunch and the way the chocolate's bold flavor nestles on your tongue. It's just a really pleasant snacking experience and I hope movie theaters start selling these guys instead of their artificial, waxy competitors. There is only one change I would make to these guys and that would be the colors. I love that they're fun and colorful, but the yellow and the green weren't so appealing to the eyes. I'd say stick to no dyes, because who cares what they look like if they taste this delicious? After one taste, you'll throw back the rest so fast, you'll be off to the store for a second bag!

Next up, we have UNREAL #77 Peanut Butter Cups, and I have to say that my husband and I were most excited about trying these. We are peanut butter and chocolate freaks! We have tried about a bazillion different brands from Reese's to Newman's Own to Trader Joe's brand -- we can't get enough of these little guys. So how does UNREAL compare? My husband and I both agreed that the peanut butter was overwhelmed by the chocolate, but you can definitely tell it's there. It adds a salty element to the chocolate you wouldn't have otherwise, and we all know that sweet & salty is a pretty delicious element. This reminded me a lot more of natural brands because it wasn't as sweet as the other guys. The chocolate just melts in your  mouth and lingers on your tongue. It's pleasant but something is missing, and I think that something is a bolder, peanut butter taste. I'd still reach for these over other cups at the convenience/drugstore, because the chocolate tastes so much better!

Last but certainly not least is the UNREAL #5 Chocolate Caramel Nougat Bar. This bar was super, dooper chewy reminiscent of a protein bar. It'll give your jaw a workout! Again it's sweet but not too sweet, because remember, this candy is missing all of the bad stuff. This is probably what candy used to taste like back when your great-grandfather was walking to school in the snow with no shoes on! I didn't pick up much nougat flavor, which was disappointing, but the caramel was there full force! Unfortunately, I think this bar would be a skip for me unless the formula was changed. I think more nougat would make the bar less chewy in a good way, so that would be my only suggestion for UNREAL. I still think it's worth giving a shot if you love caramel, because like I said, it's "unjunked" and if you're going to eat candy, you might as well eat something that tastes like real chocolate and caramel instead of waxy, subpar artificial sweetness.

Dr. Oetker Pizza Ristorante Review

Exactly one month ago, my husband and I had our version of Valentine's Day. Instead of braving the lines at local restaurants, we brought the fancy to us by having a night in, super-lazy style. Our favorite food of all time has to be pizza, so we were excited to try some new flavors from Dr. Oetker Pizza Ristorante courtesy of Bzzagent.



We were already fans of the Pizza Spinaci, so we decided to try out the Pizza Vegetale for our night in. We made the right choice! My husband, Dave, and I agreed that the ingredients tasted garden fresh and super flavorful. It was like we had made the pizza from ingredients from the local farmer's market. What's on this colorful pizza? You'll find tomatoes, peppers, onions and chilies on a thin crust. It reminded us of our favorite flatbread pizza restaurant, and considering we got married there, I think that's a pretty good compliment!


We paired our pizza with sparkling wine and tiramisu! The dinner was a total success and everything tasted fantastic.

A few days later, we got the hunger and luckily a fast and easy dinner was right in our own freezer! Since our love for pizza is so intense, we tried out the Pizza Quattro Formaggi boasting four-flavorful cheeses, including mozzarella, Edam, Emmental and blue cheese on a thin crust. This pizza was bursting with tangy flavor, but was a little too overpowering for our tastes. If you're a fine cheese lover, I'd recommend inviting this truly original cheesy combination to your dinner table. The flavors were truly intense just like our love for Dr. Oetker's pizza!

Sensitive Skin Solutions

For about a month I've been using Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin moisturizer and cleanser instead of my usual skincare products, and I'm happy to report that I'm really enjoying these products.

I'm acne-prone and have combination skin that tends to be oily in the warmer months and more dry during the winter. I usually reach for Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and I've been alternating between a Lush Cosmetics moisturizer (still testing which one works best for me) and the Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions Daily Moisturizing Lotion. I've been using that Neutrogena cleanser for years and even though it works, it can be quite drying on its own.

I never ever felt that way while using the Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser with Cotton Extract. In fact, I was surprised how moisturized my face felt while washing my face. It never felt tight or dry after I was done washing my face. The cleanser is rather thick and feels almost like a lotion, but without that heavy moisturizer feeling. It doesn't foam up or anything, which definitely contributes to the moisturized feeling. My skin was never being stripped of its natural oils and it never irritated my skin. I almost felt like I didn't need moisturizer after cleansing.

But of course, I used the accompanied Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream with Cotton Extract, and it goes on light and never greasy. You only need a pea-sized amount or so to cover your whole face, because if you use too much, it will feel greasy on your face. It's because your face can only soak up so much product! The only complaint I have is that the pump can be a bit unpredictable. Sometimes it would squirt out the perfect amount, other times too little and other times way too much. Luckily, it felt just as nice on my hands as it did on my face. I just wished that the pump worked a more accurately.

Both products didn't have any detectable smell. The closest equivalent to smell that I could think of is steam or freshly made rice. It just smells fresh and clean.

After a month of using these products, I can say they didn't bother my break outs or cause any more to occur. My face felt moisturized, not dry, and I even felt like my face was breaking out less. I think that had to do with my face being more balanced -- not too dry, not too oily. I still used my Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions Targeted Spot Treatment on pimples that popped up, but it felt like overall my face felt clearer and more moisturized.


I definitely recommend this product for people seeking something for their sensitive skin (regardless if they have acne) or for dry skin. It might not be the only skincare you use, but I feel like Burt's Bees wide range of products could definitely fill out anything you may need to accompany your routine. There's even a night cream for sensitive skin to accompany the day cream! I didn't feel like I needed the extra moisture, but if you feel like you need it or are replacing another night cream, I think the night cream could be just as amazing!
